Last night my neighbors had a party in their backyard. Sometime ago they put in a stone patio. I really haven't seen them use it much. Occasionally the kids have a group over, and they have had a couple family get together's. Last evening they had their fire pit going and candles burning all over the patio. the laughter and smell reminding me of Fall. I know that's crazy...It's Spring!Your Question:

We usually set up coolers on the back porch and chairs on the brick patio and have our fire pit going as well as the grill. The kids like running around in the back yard chasing the dogs! ;)

Sad to say, we have never used our yard. It has been almost 6 year and I can count the times on my hand. Thanks to a big mulberry tree the yard is full of berries a lot and a mess with kids. Thinking about getting that taken care of this summer, along with removing a fence that is now coming down from the horrible winters the last few years. I think if we do that we will utilize the space a lot more.

We like to grill in the summer and just be outside with our dogs. We also love to have friends over (in the slim chance our house is picked up! )

ReplyDeleteIt's been too cold to entertain in the backyard but during the warmer months we use it regularly. We are out and about in the yard every day, just entertaining.

At our old house, never. Our yard was a mess! At our current home we have a deck but it's rather old. So maybe we can have bbqs for a small group!

My backyard is small. We don't have backyard get togethers very often.
ReplyDeleteI have a lovely screened in pool(Florida) and a large back yard with a lot of trees. I wish I entertained more but when summer hits I will probably have about 6 get-togethers with friends!

Now that all the kids are grown we don't use it all that often any longer but when they were growing up it seemed like every weekend. Good time and good memories. Have a wonderful weekend :)
