  4. Great post Auntie E! I have such fond memories of visiting The Smithsonian as a child and then again as a teen. It truly is a national treasure. I STILL have a book I bought with my allowance about the huge dollhouse on display and that was 45 years ago! Thank you for visiting my blog this morning and leaving such a nice comment.   11. Oh, we were there this summer! I took photos of that garden, too. But we didn't go inside that lovely building. So many museums in Washington.

  16. DC seems so classy, a large town it feels like with the building height restrictions. Classy brick walk and of course, the Smithsonian are beautiful - and great rubies, too!

  20. We didn't go to Washington DC on our last roadtrip and I'm kind of sad about that. We decided that it probably deserved a roadtrip all for itself -- and I hope we get to do that before too long.
    (so many places, so little time!)
