This is a fallen leaf from my yard. I love the way it looks. Reds to orange. We use to wax these and save them. Great memories.

Just taken, the roses are still getting their last views in...Winter's coming and the peppermint is in the garden. The White and Red Swirl was a surprise. Almost like it knew I needed a Ruby for Tuesday.

Aloha Friday-The Winter Yard

We have for years decorated our yard for winter. The Snowman, Deer, Blowups and Snow machine are among our favorites. This year we will be doing the back yard only. That way I can see it every day and enjoy the winter scene. Here is a Question for you.

What Winter Lawn decoration do you like to see?

A Rainy Day

Kathys Comments

For two days now it has been raining. So glad we worked on the leaves over the weekend. Rain can be very good for working in the raised beds. I have one I want to clean out and plant some bulbs for the spring. The bed will be moist enough to work soon.
My Dad lives in Virginia on the coast. Tropical Storm Ida is really beating the coastline. They are considering this an Nor'easter. I have phone Dad and he is hanging in there. Meanwhile here, the winds every now and then are gusting. I looked out the glass door and saw my Deck chairs going across the deck. As if they were being pushed my someone. I did go out and fold them down, do not want to loose them. We will ride this storm out, wish I could be with my Dad. I hate not being close enough to help him out. Pray he will not loose his electricity. That reminds me I need to call him about turning on his cell.

Ruby Tuesday-Red Leaf Bandit

This is a Ruby Tuesday Post

We had beautiful weekend weather. The kind that speaks to you saying"come out and rake me". Since the leafs were dry, they were ready for the task. My daughter started to rake when she realized that the leaf blower will cause some particles to embed in her nose and hair. So this is the protection she donned on.
The Red Leaf Bandit

Now the leaf blower in use by the Red Leaf Bandit.
Our leaf blower in sucker mode, which mulches as it sucks them up. We like this because it makes a good winter mulch cover for the garden. Also it breaks down faster, making the soil more enriched.

See the Zipper on the end of the bag?
Once the bag is full just unzip and empty it at your desired location.
The Red Leaf Bandit did a wonderful job.

Question:

What do you see looking out the closest window in eye shot?

I see the winds blowing the bushes, leaves scattered on the ground and my fall view roses, pictured in my last post.

Joys of Autumn

Kathys Comments
I found this at Kathy comments Be looking for more of her creations.
The leaves have mostly fallen of the trees by now. It is raining a steady stream. The Cats are roaming now more than ever, or maybe we just see them more. Squirrels are now playing on the swing sets. Colors of the fall are sprinkled on the ground. Now is the time for the fire pits to light up. We roast the marshmallows to make smores. The smell of fire places are in the air. This is a list of the things I enjoy about this Autumn Season.
