We used to go to Hershey Park every year when my daughter was in middle school. She plays the Cello in the Orchestra. Each year the school went to compete in a National Music competition. It was called Music in the Parks. We always made it a weekend full of fun. One year we visited the Hershey Gardens. Look what we found!

Click on each photo for a closer view

Here is a tree we found in the Gardens.

A little closer view

Now to the top
this one is a must to enlarge

Now we can not forget the Licorice,
Yummy but this one not for the tummy.

Sending you off with a Kiss. One can't leave the park without the Hershey Kisses!

They blew Water vapor out of the tops.

Apple Season is Here.

It is apple season. I really love going apple picking. Haven't done it in some time.
There is a orchard near us, Baugher's. This weekend we are going to be close to it. So I thought we would do some picking. Have you are picked apple from a orchard?
When we lived in Missouri we have an Bartlet pear tree. Boy did I have pears! I canned and gave away bushels. They were the sweetest one I have ever tasted. I miss that tree and farm.

Vacationing at Virginia beach.
Walking on the boardwalk these flowers said hi.

I noticed the Red blossom among the Fuchsia ones.

I took the girls to Great wolf Lodge In Williamsburg, Virginia.
(you can Click on the photos to enlarge)

The Lobby.

The Lodge has an indoor water park.

Oh yes, that bucket is about the spill out.

A wave pool, not quite the beach.
However a lot of fun!

Outdoor they had Cabana's.
I rented one,it was a get meeting place.

The girls really had a great time.

Great Wolf Lodge has Lots of Tubing slides. We enjoyed ourselves riding them. This was the last fling before the summers end. The girls were so looking forward to this trip. They rode the waves that Hurricane Bill provided at the east coast. Ending our trip at GWL.

Ruby Tuesday -Renaissance Fair

Taking a break from my garden post, and going back in time to 1350-1550 AD. Every year we attend a Renaissance fair. It always amazes me how the people love to dress and relive that time. I like it, however would not have liked to live in that time. Today we portray that time as carefree and fun times. Adding amusements and fun food, I do not think if it were real, one would be so eager to be out and about. Here are some photos of the fair's fun times.

Jokers are blowing bubbles through their hands.
They are sitting on the castle entrance top.

Stores along the way
Food,

stores and games

This was a show that was very good. Magic and illusion.

This one is in Portuguese it says "Your blog is so well done" and the word Brigadeiro refers to a Brazilian chocolate sweet candy( in the photo)...Yummy I love chocolate.
